Why dive Pemba
Coral gardens open into bommies, slopes, channels, walls, and dramatic drop-offs—sometimes all within the same stretch of coast.
Tidal movement carries nutrient-rich water across the reefs, supporting everything from tiny nudibranchs and reef fish to schooling jacks, turtles, rays, barracuda, and occasional pelagic visitors. Wildlife can never be promised; the pleasure is in looking closely.
Every reef tells a different story
A day on the water
There is a structure, but never a rigid formula. Conditions and people decide how the day unfolds.
Check in, complete documentation, fit equipment, and talk through the plan.
Review the site, conditions, route, signals, and what you may encounter.
Set out for the first morning dive with a small, carefully matched group.
Rest, rehydrate, and enjoy refreshments—sometimes on a beach or sandbank.
Return for a second dive, with afternoon or night options when conditions allow.

Gentler profiles, coral gardens, and unhurried exploration for newer divers, refreshers, and photographers.
Coral-covered walls, sea fans, overhangs, and deep-blue scenery—the classic shape of diving in Pemba.
Routes through channels, gaps, and reef edges, planned carefully around the tide and your experience.
More remote and distinctive sites that may require longer journeys, specific windows, or advanced confidence.
Personal instruction
Learn · refresh · progress
Our PADI training is delivered in small groups with patient guidance. Take your first breath, return after time away, or build the skills for more adventurous diving.
Share the water
Guided boat snorkelling lets friends, families, and non-diving companions explore Pemba’s clear water and tropical reef life alongside the dive day.
Sandbank stops add time to swim, rest, and take in the coast at its most unhurried.
Dive with care
A rare balance of underwater adventure, living culture, and time to simply slow down.
We plan around current, weather, experience, and comfort. We never touch coral, never feed fish, and use mooring lines rather than anchors where available.
